Liberty’s Adrienne translates our studio artwork Virginia into a remastered, exquisitely embroidered tulle and mesh design – its placement painstakingly engineered to complement the lines of the body. The Adrienne gown combines the sinuousness of Art Nouveau lines with the slinky silhouettes of ‘30s undergarments. The gown features a fully-embroidered interpretation of the Liberty studio team’s Virginia design – a decorative floral layout that celebrates ‘the beauty of the unfinished’, inspired by the delicate structure of lose threads discovered on the back of an archival jacquard fabric. Elevated by puffy capped sleeves and an asymmetric hemline, the gown is finished with a sheer embroidered bodice and a nude silk lining for a sultry and elegant effect.
